this is an unplugged version of my new single, how to have a good day.
stripped back, intimate, and closer to where the song first began.
after the names in the credits cds sold out, i wanted to do something special to say thank you. something that felt personal and timeless, a little nod to the mtv unplugged days that meant so much to me growing up.
this version almost didn’t happen. my family and i have been sick, energy was low, schedules were messy, but nothing was going to stop me from making music for you, or from trying to have a good day.
the song actually started on a ukulele, so it felt right to bring it back here and let it lead the way in this version.
i hope you enjoy this quieter take on the song.
