how to have a good day

this is the first song from my new album, introverse.

i spent over a year crafting the sound of this album before writing a single note,
trying to chase the memory of a ‘90s alt-rock band that never existed,
something between shoegaze, grunge, and solitude.

i recorded everything myself in a small room,
building the sound layer by layer,
trying to become a band of one.

somewhere in the middle of all that,
i picked up a ukulele i had bought right before my daughter was born.
from that, a little riff emerged,
one that felt bright on the surface,
but kept pulling me into something deeper.

what sounds like a morning anthem
is really about the quiet pressure underneath,
about how to be present,
and how to hold it together when you’re not sure how.

this is where introverse begins.
thank you for listening.
