the story of i love you every now
i love you every now is probably the most unapologetic love song I’ve written.
It’s simple, direct, and emotionally a little bigger than my usual tracks.
Heavy drums, slow-moving guitars, and vocals that float above it all.
The song started from something personal. My wife Ella and I have been together since we were teenagers.
We've moved countries, raised kids, been dirt-poor, and supported each other through some heavy seasons.
After all of that, she’s still my best friend.
But the song quickly grew into something broader than that.
It’s about choosing love again and again, for the people in your life, for the things that matter,
even as time stacks up and everything starts to move faster than you expect.
i love you every now
so many layers we lost in the way
all of these years they feel like a day
honestly, i don't know what to say
i love you every now
a break in the clouds
i love you every now
inside and out
i love you every now
all of the gaps we found on the way
tell me the reasons you want me to stay
up in new york we colored the gray
nobody knows what tomorrow will break
or the number of breaths we are left to take
memories and dreams are nothing but fake
